Our Story

The Cedar Valley Arboretum & Botanic Gardens was founded in 1996 by a group of passionate community members who believed in creating a place where people and plants could grow together. What began as a shared vision and open fields has blossomed into a thriving 40-acre landscape of gardens, trees, and natural beauty.
For nearly three decades, the Arboretum has served as a space for learning, inspiration, and connection, where visitors of all ages can experience the wonder of nature, celebrate community, and find peace among the plants. Guided by a spirit of growth and stewardship, we continue to cultivate a living legacy for generations to come.
