Board & Leadership

Join the Board!

Do you like making a difference in your community? Being a voice for those who aren't always heard? Do you love spending time in nature? If so, you're exactly who we're looking for as a board member!

Board members are guiding forces in creating policies and procedures, fundraising rock stars, and serving as champions of our mission and vision. Our board has members from many different career fields such as manufacturing, education, marketing, leadership, and more! Though each of our board members' backgrounds may differ they all have one goal; continuing the work of the Arboretum and helping us grow into a cherished community resource.

Interested in joining? Follow the link to our Board Member Application and we will be in touch with you soon! Applications are kept on file and reviewed before the Annual Meeting or if a position suddenly needs to be filled. Submission does not guarantee acceptance.

Benefits of Board Membership:

  • Joining our Board of Directors incites purposeful and influential direction to our organization and its bright future.
  • Create new connections with people passionate about nature, wellness, and education.
  • Your unique voice, experiences, and background matter! No one on our board will have the same experience as you. You may have the next great idea for a fundraiser or project to be completed. Your perspectives have the chance to help us recognize the needs we can fill in the community and the ways we can make nature accessible to all.

Our Mission

The Cedar Valley Arboretum & Botanic Gardens seeks to be a horticultural destination where all feel welcomed and valued. We work to build sustainable relationships with diverse communities. We are committed to provide an accessible and inclusive environment through continuous learning, operational changes, and cooperation with community partners.
