Storytimes are held throughout the summer in the Children's Garden. Weekly storytimes start at 10:30 AM, and readers come from all over the Cedar Valley. In the past, these readers have included Mayors from Cedar Falls and Waterloo, Quota Club, Retrieving Freedom in Waverly, The Cedar Falls Public Library, and many other community organizations.

Storytime lasts about a half hour depending on the time allotted by the reader. We also offer wagon rides at no cost after as long as weather permits. In the case of inclement weather, we move the event indoors to our Education Center. However, storytimes may be canceled if the reader for the day is unable to attend due to weather concerns or any other personal circumstance. If the reader is unable to make it for their scheduled event,  we announce cancellations or changes to the program as soon as we can. You can see the latest updates regarding events on our Facebook page.
