Arboretum Immediate Needs List
Ongoing Projects at the Arboretum
The Cedar Valley Arboretum is a non-profit organization that is not publicly funded. We rely on admissions, memberships, sponsorships, donations, rentals & events for our total source of revenue to maintain and operate the Arboretum. Because of this, we need community support to continue our mission. We have a variety of multi-effort and multi-season projects that we've been working on to help make the Arboretum more accessible, educational, and easier to maintain. Please consider giving a designated donation for one of the following items, or a partial designated donation would also be greatly appreciated. Your help will keep us growing and serving the community and surrounding areas!
Ongoing or Requested Projects Include:
- Professionally Painting the Arboretum Gazebo - $2,728.50
- 6-foot aluminum ladder, garden rakes, various hand tools & weeding totes (funds preferred)
- Installing more hard surface pathways through the gardens and trail systems
- Installing plant and interpretive signage
- Creating accessible materials such as audio tours, braille materials, and bilingual resources
- Documenting the Arboretum's history for generations to come (interviews with founding members, videos showing the growth and changes to the Arboretum)
